Start with the registration

A Russian national registration and an international registration designating Russia follow different renewal procedures. We first identify the record, current owner and expiry date. If you hold several marks, send a portfolio list so the instructions can be organised by deadline.

National renewal deadlines

A Russian national trademark can be renewed for ten years. Apply during the final year of protection. A six-month period after expiry may be requested, subject to the applicable requirements and fees. Send an expired record promptly for a deadline assessment.

International registrations

Madrid renewals are handled through WIPO. Check the international registration number and the designations to retain. A Russian national renewal request is not a substitute for renewing an international registration.
